Sherburne-Earlville High School SADD — Students Against Drunk Driving

SADD is a high school group that, throughout the course of the school year, plans events and activities around alcohol and drug awareness. Not only do we include the high school in some of these activities, but we have also reached into the Middle School and Elementary building with some activities.

Meetings: Monthly meetings are held in room 238 of the MS/HS. They are open to anyone who would like to join. If other meetings are necessary, they are determined at the monthly meeting.

2.jpgSpecial Events:
October: Red Ribbon Week- a 4-day campaign against drugs and alcohol.
November : Great American Smokeout and our annual Semi-Formal Dance.
Nov/Dec: Fundraiser-SADD's Annual Poinsettia Sale.

All profits SADD makes from any of its fundraisers go toward the junior class' After-Prom Party, if the class decides that it would like one.
The group has participated, along with the Chenango County Tobacco-Free Coalition, in promoting both the Great American Smokeout and Kick Butts America. We coordinated efforts with the Elementary School for both these campaigns. In May we participate in the Nationwide Insurance Company's Prom Promise campaign.
